Who to follow to start Ramadan?

We have a body which "represents" the Muslims of our country to the authorities. This representative body declares the entry of the month of Ramadan, whether it is based on astronomical calculations or on ocular vision. Is it compulsory to take this declaration into account and to fast accordingly?

Muslims, a minority in non-Muslim countries, must take into account the vision of their Islamic institute. If ordered by this institute, Muslims must then fast together and not divide. We do not start to fast if our country of origin has decided to do so. If Algeria, Morocco, Turkey or Saudi Arabia start to fast tomorrow and in our country we start today, you must follow your country of residence.

The prophet (sallallahu 'alayhi wa sallam) said:« Fasting occurs on the day you fast and the break occurs on the day you break ». Muslims are one group. From the moment that religious leaders take responsibility and order fasting, then we must fast with Muslims and not ask for the reason for the fast or the causes of a discrepancy.
