Reminder n°248

The reminder in Arabic:

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ : «وَ اللهِ إِنِّي لأسْتَغْفِرُ اللهَ وَ أ تُوبُ إلَيْهِ فِي اليَوْمِ أكثَرَ مِنْ سَبْعِيْنَ مَرَّةٍ»

The reminder in English:

The Messenger of Allah (sallallahou 'alayhi wa sallam) said : « By Allah, I seek forgiveness and repent to Allah, more than seventy times a day. »

Reminder n°249

The reminder in Arabic:

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ : «يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ تُوبُوا إلَى اللهِ، فَإِنِّي أتُوبُ إلَيْهِ مِئَةَ مَرَّةٍ»

The reminder in English:

The Messenger of Allah (sallallahou 'alayhi wa sallam) said : « O People, Repent! Verily I repent to Allah, a hundred times a day. »

Source : Muslim (#2702, 4/2076).

Dua n°250

The dua in Arabic:

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ : «مَنْ قَالَ أسْتَغْفِرُ اللهَ العَظِيْمَ الَّذِي لَا إلَهَ إلَّا هُوَ الحَيُّ القَيُّومُ وَ أتُوبُ إلَيْهِ، غَفَرَ للهُ لَهُ، وَ إنْ كَانَ فَرَّ مِنَ الزَّحْفِ»

The invocation in english:

« I seek Allah's forgiveness, besides whom, none has the right to be worshiped except He, the Ever Living, the Self-Subsisting and Supporter of all, and I turn to Him in repentance. »

The dhikr in phonetics:

Astaghfirou l-lâha-l-'azîma l-ladhî lâ ilâha illâ houwa-l-hayyou-l-qayyûmou, wa atûbou ilayhi.

Source : Abu Dawud (#1517, 2/85), at-Tirmidhi (#3577, 5/569), al-Hakim (1/511) and he authenticated it and ad-Dhahabi agreed with him. Al-Albani authenticated it, voir Sahih at-Tirmidhi (3/182) and al-Jami' al-Ousoul li-Ahadith ar-Rassoul (4/389--390).

Reminder n°251

The reminder in Arabic:

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ : «أقْرَبُ مَا يَكُونُ الرَّبُّ مِنَ العَبْدِ، فِي جَوْفِ اللَّيْلِ الآخِرِ؛ فَإنْ اسْتَطَعْتَ أنْ تَكُونَ مِمَّنْ يَذْكُرُ اللهَ فِي تِلْكَ السَّاعَةِ؛ فَكُنْ»

The reminder in English:

« The Messenger of Allah (sallallahou 'alayhi wa sallam) said : « The nearest the Lord comes to His servant is in the middle of the night, so if you are able to be of those who remember Allah at that time, then be so. »

Reminder n°252

The reminder in Arabic:

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ : «أقْرَبُ مَا يَكُونُ العَبْدُ مِنْ رَبِّهِ، وَ هُوَ سَاجِدٌ فَأكْثِرُوا الدُّعَاءَ»

The reminder in English:

The Messenger of Allah (sallallahou 'alayhi wa sallam) said : « The nearest a servant is to his Lord is when he is prostrating, so supplicate much therein. »

Source : Muslim (#482, 1/350).

Reminder n°253

The reminder in Arabic:

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ : «إنَّهُ لَيُغَانُ عَلَى قَلْبِي، وَ إنِّي لأسْتَغْفِرُ اللهَ فِي اليَوْمِ مِئَةَ مَرَّةٍ»

The reminder in English:

The Messenger of Allah (sallallahou 'alayhi wa sallam) said: « Verily my heart becomes preoccupied, and verily I seek Allah's forgiveness a hundred times a day. »
