إذَا دُعِيَ أحَدُكُمْ فَلْيُجِبْ، فَإنْ كَانَ صَائِمًا فَلْيُصَلِّ، وَ إنْ كَانَ مُفْطِراً فَلْيَطْعَمْ (وَ مَعنَى فَلْيُصَلِّ؛ أيْ : فَلْيَدْعُ)

« If you are invited (to a meal) then accept. If you happen to be fasting, then pray (for those present) and if you are not fasting, then eat. (The meaning of ‘pray’ here means ‘supplicate’). »
