The dua in Arabic:

إذَا سَمِعْتُمْ صِيَاحَ الدِّيَكَةِ فَاسْألُوا اللهَ مِنْ فَضْلِهِ؛ فَإنَّهَا رَأَتْ مَلَكاً، وَ إذَا سَمِعْتُمْ نَهِيْقَ الحِمَارِ فَتَعوَّذُوا بِااللهِ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ؛ فَإنَّهُ رَأى شَيْطَانًا

The invocation in english:

« If you hear the crow of a rooster, ask Allah for his bounty for it has seen an angel and if you hear the braying of a donkey, seek refuge in Allah for it has seen a devil. »

The dhikr in phonetics:

A'oûdhou billâhi mina sh-shaytâni r-rajîm.
